Working as a professional calligrapher for more than 25 years, I have created a wide range of projects from commissions, diplomas, collaborative art pieces, invitations & envelopes, family trees, chalkboards, lettering on walls and more.
I engrave on glass and work on-site events, product activations, and weddings.
I also teach extensively from brief introductions at library programs to extended study opportunities. I have guest taught at University of Western Montana, museums, schools and educational groups, including the Florence Griswold Museum in Old Lyme, CT.
During 2021-2023, I received two Southern New England Apprenticeship Program grants to teach illuminated manuscripts to a set of apprentices. The 2021-22 SNEAP in traditional arts was funded by the National Endowment for the Arts and supported by the Connecticut Historical Society and the Mass Cultural Council. The 2022-2023 SNEAP was funded in part by the National Endowment for the Arts and supported by Connecticut Humanities, the Connecticut Historical Society, the Connecticut Office of the Arts (DECD), and the Mass Cultural Council.
