Introduction to Chinese Calligraphy

Lorelei Chang was born and raised in China. In January 2009, er work was a Chinese Calligraphy award winner at the Tokyo Museum. The workshop introduces you to the one of the most beautiful Chinese ancient fine arts, the Chinese calligraphy which has thousands of years of history. Chinese calligraphy is not only a practical technique for writing Chinese characters, but also a unique oriental art of expression, a tool to help ease physicaly and mental tension, reduce stress and learn discipline. You will learn some basic elements, strokes and fundamental techniques of Chinese calligraphy brush work through this class. We will teach you to create your own piece of Chinese calligraphy on the traditional rice paper to take it home. Call: 860-648-1825
